or at least our indigenous fashion blogging equivalent, Blanaid. I can tell that that's been one of the definitive highlights of my blogging career thus far. She was the first Irish fashion blogger I followed way back before I dreamed of pairing 'Ireland' and 'Fashion' in a sentence together. I had no idea it was her until she introduced herself, which is kind of funny too. On an even more simple level, it was just great to meet another Irish fashion blogger, if even for the split second it takes to snap a photo.
Onto what's most important, uber-fashion-blogger status or not. The outfit. When the sun is beating down it's always eye catching and attention grabbing to see somebody comprised of black, black, black. I think it's a very brazen statement here in Ireland, where rays of sunshine are few and far between. That doesn't detract from me adoring a good outfit though, as in this case. Legs on show are expertly balanced by keeping everything covered up top, and teamed with the ankle boot wedges, a perfect limb-lengthening formula. I love the simplicity and the symmetry of the two gold wrist cuffs along with the pendant. The cropped, loose knit top and matching hat definitely take the outfit into a different era. I thought late seventies maybe (especially with the oversized aviators), but do correct me.
Finally, www.blanaid.com for some inspiring and uplifting gems.
PS, I do wish I had found a better background on which to take this.
